The individual or legal entity in question is also responsible for covering the costs associated with the management of household waste, including hazardous household waste. These requirements also apply to owners and users of summer cottages or other short-term accommodation buildings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/likumi.lv\/doc.php?id=221378\">Waste Management Law<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Amendments to the Waste Management Law<\/h1>\n<p>The Parliament (Saeima) has adopted and the President has announced amendments to the Waste Management Law that stipulate that the biodegradable waste is composted at household waste landfills or the composting of biowaste in specially constructed places or otherwise processed in case of permission to perform the relevant activity.
