Waste Management Law

Law of the Republic of Latvia stipulates that the obligation of the producer of household waste is to sign a contract for the management of household waste with a company which has received the permit of the respective local government for the operation in its territory. The individual or legal entity in question is also responsible for covering the costs associated with the management of household waste, including hazardous household waste. These requirements also apply to owners and users of summer cottages or other short-term accommodation buildings.
